Because diversity is bringing more fun and intererest in surfing, it has been a long time we wanted to share this concept of planning hull in action.
With this approach of shape, we really wanted to feel the natural flow line of a wave, to be in tune with the wave.
Belly bottom, s deck, pretty flat rocker, fin far forward, the design of a displacement hull has to stick to what those legends shapers were doing back in the 70's as Liddle / Andreini or lately Kirk Putman and Tristan Mausse.
As we love surfing, we also wanted to bring to this concept a not too ambitious approach but more a natural board which will work also in our beach break.

We reached out to Hayden from Haydenshapes and he was super into the idea. He quickly made us a custom prototype asym shape, rushed it from over from Australia and we luckily squeezed in a few 16mm sessions of Nate figuring out the board right before launching the film..." - Matt Payne

Influenced by its fondness of deep powdery days of past, DEUS POWDERTOOLS is a notion conjured up by the Deus chapter in Japan.
With steady snowfall common in many regions of the country, frosty winters are a part of life here. With the ‘SnowSurf’ subculture being around in Japan for decades, the Japanese have been experimenting with hand shaped edgeless snowboards for some time now. Sage Erickson's 3-Board Mexico Quiver
In early fall 2020, Sage Erickson headed out for a quick trip to some desert point waves in Mexico's Baja California. Knowing full well the area she was heading off to was quite cruisy, in terms of shape and power, she packed her board bag accordingly. With just enough room for three, Sage opted for:
CI Mid - 6’6” x 20 1/2” x 2 9/16” - 37.8L
OG Flyer - 5'8” x 18 1/2” x 2 1/4” - 25.4L
Rocket Wide - 5’5 x 18 7/8” x 18 7/8” 2 1/4” - 25.4L
Sage returned with a huge smile and stories of fun surfs out on the desert coast, and says she was stoked on her range of boards that were perfectly suited to those conditions.
